Hard Rock debuts guitar-shaped casino
The US$1.5 billion guitar-shaped casino from Hard Rock opened its doors yesterday in Hollywood, Florida, and it’s the first of its kind.
US.- The US$1.5 billion Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Hollywood officially opened its doors on Thursday. The world’s first guitar-shaped hotel and casino complex is located in Hollywood, just 20 miles north of Miami, in Florida.
The casino features a 7,000-seat casino floor, along with a hotel with 1,200 hotel rooms and more than 3,000 slot machines and gaming tables. While the guitar is the image of the company, this is the first time that it’s built a facility with its shape.
“We’re very thankful and we’re blessed to be in a position that we can provide the general welfare and the help and assistance that tribe members need,” Marcellus Osceola, council chairman of the Seminole in Florida, told AFP.
”The dollars that we make here will make life a little bit easier for our members when they have health care issues or when they are trying to buy a car to transport themselves with their families,” he added.
Hard Rock completed a gambling expansion in Tampa
Hard Rock International completed earlier this month Tampa expansion. The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Tampa received a US$700 million investment. The Tampa facility now features 1000 more slots and 41 table games throughout its new gambling floor. With those additions, the casino now has around 5000 slots, 179 tables and a state-of-the-art poker room with 46 tables. The new hotel tower has a high floor in which it features a private gaming parlour for VIP guests.
Jim Allen, Hard Rock International Chairman and CEO of Seminole Gaming, said that the expansion will increase entertainment and dining options. It will also help them attract guests from all over the US and the world, he said. “Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Tampa are already one of the largest and most profitable casinos in the US.”
