Hard Rock AC sets June 28th as opening date
Executives from the upcoming casino announced that the resort will hold its grand opening on June 28th.
US.- Executives from the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City held a three-city press conference in which it was revealed that the casino is set to host its grand opening on June 28th. When Hard Rock acquired the former Trump Taj Mahal, executives hoped for a summer 2018 opening.
The date and entertainment line-up were revealed during three simultaneous press conferences at the Hard Rock Cafe Philadelphia, the Hard Rock Cafe New York City and the Hard Rock Atlantic City preview center at Tanger Outlets in Atlantic City.
Executives also provided renderings for the casino’s main gaming floor. Jim Allen, Hard Rock’s International Chairman, said that 200 acts were booked for the opening, including Steve Byrne on June 26th, Howie Mandel on July 3rd, the Gin Blossoms on July 21st and Bush on August 1st.
The entrance to the hotel is set to feature a massive guitar, which will stand 53-feet high. The width of the guitar is 17 feet and 3/4 inches, while the depth is more than four feet. Hard Rock’s logo will be more than eight feet high and approximately 15 feet wide.
