Grosvenor unveils Brighton casino renovations
Grosvenor Casinos has unveiled the transformation of a former cinema into an entertainment hub in Brighton.
UK.- A new 24/7 entertainment hub is coming to Brighton, as Grosvenor Casinos is turning a former art deco cinema into a new concept. The £5.2 million venue will be called Pier Nine, and will renovate the existing Grosvenor Casino Brighton into an entertainment destination.
Pier Nine will feature two classic casinos, a private cinema, work space and bars and restaurants, among other things. Grosvenor said that construction has already started for the facility that will be renovated in three different floors.
The completion date is scheduled for December, while the launch is likely to happen in the first few months of 2020. Approximately 60 new jobs are created thanks to these renovations, and the Brighton facility will remain open throughout the whole renovation process, the UK company said.
Bob Bowry, general manager of Grosvenor Casino Brighton, said: “We’re happy to share our vision for Pier Nine with the Brighton community and our existing customers which once complete will bring a unique social experience to the city’s vibrant cultural scene.”
Bowry added that this is a major investment in a well-loved building on the seafront. He said that they’re creating new jobs in the local leisure and entertainment sector as well as a destination for the changing habits of those in search of memorable experiences under one roof.
“Pier Nine will be a 24/7 venue for work, rest and play and will be open to everyone who enjoys a vibrant atmosphere without the need for membership fees. The variety of fantastic food and drink on offer, as well as retro gaming and the excitement of traditional casino games, will make Pier Nine a leisure and entertainment destination for all to enjoy,” said the company.
