Grand Lisboa Palace expects table games
The casino operator said that it expects to get around 150 new lice dealer gaming tables for the Cotai project.
Macau.- SJM Holdings LTD, operator of the upcoming Grand Lisboa Palace, is hoping to get approximately 150 new gaming tables for the US$4.6 billion Cotai project. The firm’s CEO said that he expects to get the same treatment as other operators.
“Grand Lisboa Palace casino can accommodate 400 gaming tables. Of course the government would not grant us 400 [new] gaming tables. Usually, in the cases of the other Cotai casino resorts, the grant is around 150 new gaming tables [per resort],” said Ambrose So Shu Fai, chief executive of SJM Holdings.
So said that he hopes to receive the same standard to his firm as to competitors that recently opened new venues in the territory. For example, rival Sands China Las obtained 150 tables for the Parisian Macao resort located in Cotai, 100 for its openings, 25 from January 1 and the remaining 25 due from NY 2018. Wynn Macau also got 150 new tables for Wynn Palace, 100 for its launch and other 50 in increments.
“SJM can allocate its tables from the other properties. If we see there is a market need, we’ll allocate some from our properties to there [Grand Lisboa Palace],” So added.
