Exclusive interview.- Speed has become a critical competitive factor in online sports betting, where even minor delays can affect player engagement, particularly in live betting and markets with connectivity challenges. For operators, delivering a faster experience while maintaining flexibility, managing risk and controlling operational costs is an increasingly important part of their technology strategy.
GR8_TECH is addressing these challenges through its Platform for Champions, combining a rebuilt frontend architecture with solutions designed to improve sportsbook performance and accelerate market entry. The company has reported a four- to fivefold increase in platform speed following its transition to Qwik, while its GREAT_WHITE LABEL solution aims to help operators launch in new markets in as little as three weeks.
In this exclusive interview with Focus Gaming News, Yevhen Krazhan, CSO at GR8_TECH, discusses the technological improvements behind the company’s faster sportsbook experience, the role of Managed Trading Services in strengthening risk management and profitability, and its plans for further platform development. Ahead of SiGMA World 2026, he also outlines what operators can expect from GR8_TECH’s Champions Arena, including demonstrations of Fastbook and GREAT_WHITE LABEL.
GR8_TECH has put a lot of emphasis on speed with its Platform for Champions. How have you achieved such impressive Lighthouse scores, and what does that mean for the user experience?
Platform for Champions means giving operators the technology, flexibility, and tools they need to compete and grow their businesses. We help our partners perform better in their markets, without technology becoming a limitation. Speed is a big part of that. You can have the best sportsbook in the world, but if it takes five or six seconds to load, you’ve probably already lost the player.
At GR8_TECH, we decided to address this at the technology level. We completely rebuilt our frontend, moving from React to Qwik, and improved our infrastructure to bring the platform closer to players. As a result, we’re now four to five times faster.
Players can navigate faster, find markets, and place bets without unnecessary delays. That’s particularly important in live betting, where every second counts, and in markets like Africa and Latin America, where connectivity can be a challenge.

What would you highlight as some of the major recent developments?
In addition to our aforementioned Fastbook, we’ve introduced GREAT_WHITE LABEL, giving operators a much faster route to market. The solution has already been proven in live LatAm operations, with a three-week launch, 99.99 per cent uptime, and break-even within the first year. We handle the technology and day-to-day operations, while our partners focus on building their brand, acquiring players, and growing the business. For operators looking to enter new markets, this reduces much of the traditional complexity and investment.
How does GR8_TECH’s Managed Trading Services improve performance and strengthen risk management for sports betting operators?
Trading is one of the most complex and expensive parts of running a sportsbook. Operators need accurate odds, strong risk management, and the ability to react quickly to changing betting activity. Building all of that in-house requires significant investment and expertise.
With Managed Trading Services, we take that complexity off their shoulders. We combine our proprietary odds engine, mathematical models, high-quality sports data, and a team of over 200 trading professionals to help operators improve pricing, manage margins, and reduce operational costs.
Risk management is a particularly important part of this. We use real-time bet scoring, automated player segmentation, and dynamic limits to help operators identify risks early and make better bet acceptance decisions. Operators also get greater visibility and control over their trading activity.
The biggest advantage is that operators don’t need to replace their existing sportsbook to benefit from this. They keep their platform, frontend, and brand experience, while we strengthen the trading operations that support them.

Can you talk us through the updates you’re planning for the next year?
Our focus is on further improving the platform to make it faster, more flexible, and more efficient for operators. I’d highlight three main areas.
We’re continuing to develop our MTS. One of the key updates is deeper player segmentation, allowing operators to set different odds and margins for different player groups. This gives them more control over risk, pricing, and profitability.
We’ll keep improving our frontend technology. Moving to Qwik was a major step, but there’s still room to improve performance, network infrastructure, and flexibility.
Finally, we’re focused on giving operators greater control over their platform experience. We want to build on our widget-based approach to make it easier to customise layouts, betting markets, promotions, and content to match different player preferences and market needs.
What else will you be showcasing at SiGMA World?
We’re bringing back our Champions Arena, where operators can see our latest solutions in action. The main focus will be on Fastbook and GREAT_WHITE LABEL. Our team will be running live demos, showing operators how they can benefit from a faster sportsbook experience and launch in markets in as little as three weeks.
For us, events like SiGMA are an opportunity to sit down with partners, understand their challenges, and discuss where we can deliver the most business value. That’s why we’re also creating spaces beyond the exhibition floor, including an outdoor lounge and private dining experiences for guests. At the end of the day, technology is important, but strong partnerships are what deliver the best results.
