Gov. candidate in Illinois in favor of gaming expansion

The Democratic candidate for governor believes that expanding gaming could benefit the state.

US.- J.B. Pritzker, Democratic candidate for governor in Illinois, is confident that a gaming expansion in the state could help develop local infrastructure. He said that sports betting legalisation could be other way to obtain revenue.

“We should all agree here … we need to invest in our infrastructure,” the Democratic candidate for governor said on Wednesday to the Daily Herald. Pritzker believes that Illinois Republican Senate Leader Bill Brady’s idea to expand gaming could help for it. “That is — should we look at expanding gaming in the state or/and legalizing sports betting in the state as a source of revenue for an infrastructure bill?” he said.

The candidate said that one of the most important things for him is to find a stable source of revenue, and that Bill Brady’s proposal is worth looking at. “As a new governor in January, right away we’ve got to start exploring having an infrastructure bill in the first year. I want to get that in place ASAP,” he added.
