Golden Globe to operate a sixth offshore casino
Golden Globe Hotels is set to develop a sixth offshore casino in Goa as it may take over the Maharajah casino.
India.- Golden Globe Hotels is known for operating several offshore gaming venues in India, particularly in Goa. Soon, the company could begin operating a sixth off-coast casino as it may take over the Maharajah casino on a lease agreement.
The company owned by politician Gopal Kanda plans to sign a sixth-month lease to operate the venue. Furthermore, The High Court of Bombay at Goa has asked the State government to asign Golden Globe a location at the pier and it’s expected that the necessary documents and orders will be filed over the next few days.
The MV San Domino currently hosts the Maharajah casino, owned by the Essel Group, and is in Mandovi waters since 2009. Nonetheless, it’s -for now- out of operations, at least until reparations needed for the ship are finished and Golden Globe takes over.
