Golden Entertainment to host inaugural slot tournament in Southern Nevada
The event is set to take place at Golden Entertainment properties in July and August.
US.- Gambling operator Golden Entertainment will host its inaugural slot tournament, the Golden Pyramid Tournament at Golden Entertainment properties in Southern Nevada in July and August. Some 120 winners will compete in the final tournament on August 12 at Aquarius Casino Resort.
The top 40 winners of the finale will collectively share $50,000 in bonus slot play, with the first-place winner receiving $10,000 of the prize pool. Beginning July 4, qualifying rounds will be held every Tuesday in July at Arizona Charlie’s Boulder and Arizona Charlie’s Decatur in Las Vegas.
Aquarius Casino Resort, Edgewater Casino Resort and Pahrump Nugget Hotel & Gambling Hall will also host qualifying rounds.
Golden Entertainment to sell gaming operations in Nevada and Montana
Golden Entertainment has entered into a definitive agreement to divest its distributed gaming operations in Nevada and Montana. J&J Ventures Gaming will buy the operations in Nevada for $213.5m plus an estimated $34m of purchased cash and the Montana operations for $109m plus $5m.
Golden Entertainment will enter into a five-year agreement under which J&J Gaming will support the gaming operations of Golden’s branded tavern locations in Nevada. The transactions are expected to close before the end of 2023, subject to customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions.
