Ghana is the host of the 12th Gaming Regulators African Forum conference
The 2016 edition of GRAF conference is titled “Working towards the effective regulation of gaming and the promotion of legal and responsible gaming.”
Ghana.- The 2016 Gaming Regulators African Forum (GRAF) conference, on the theme: “Working towards the effective regulation of gaming and the promotion of legal and responsible gaming” has begun in the city of Accra.
The conference is the 12th in the series and the first to be hosted in West Africa, aims to create a platform for discussions on developing common norms and standards in the control and regulation of all legalised gambling modes, to enhance gaming operations, not only in Africa, but globally.
Its participants include Chief Executives of various gaming jurisdictions in Africa and Europe, gaming operators and GRAF members from Zimbabwe, South Africa, Ghana, Botswana, Nigeria, Uganda, Tanzania, Namibia and Malawi.
Prosper Bani, Ghana’s Minister for the Interior, commended the Technical Committee of GRAF for selecting is country as a host, at a time when gaming was rapidly expanding, with Sports Betting taking a firm lead in the Ghanaian industry.
