Georgi Mihaylov: “The pandemic has helped to promote online casinos”
Georgi Mihaylov, Deputy CEO at EGT Digital, spoke with Focus Gaming News about EGT Digital’s achievements in 2021 and the future plans of the company.
Exclusive interview.- EGT Digital is all set to start 2022 with many plans and projects, with the expectation of continuing its expansion in these challenging pandemic times. Georgi Mihaylov, Deputy CEO at EGT Digital, also shared with Focus Gaming News a balance of 2021 and the feedback of their latest releases.
What are the first conclusions you can draw for this year, which is coming to an end?
Indeed, at the end of the year, it is time to take stock. We put a lot of effort into developing new products and achieved more than expected. 2021 was a good year, but the best is yet to come.
One thing is for sure – without the dedicated efforts of our team throughout the year, we would not have thought so calmly about the coming 2022.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, online casinos and sports betting have grown exponentially. Do you think this will help more markets regulate online gambling?
Undoubtedly, the pandemic has helped to promote online casinos. There are already many examples of governments revising their gambling laws. This is a convenient opportunity for them to support their budgets in these challenging times.
EGT Digital attended the exhibition of the gaming industry in Kyiv and presented its latest solutions for iGaming to Ukrainian operators. How did the visitors of the exhibition react to your new products?
Expectations for the EGT products have always been high. In my opinion, we managed to show our Ukrainian partners that we do not deviate from the quality they expect, but we also surprised them with new innovative features.
One of the latest releases of EGT Digital was the X-Nave iGaming platform. What were the main challenges you encountered in developing this product?
It’s always fun to reinvent and innovate but also very challenging. Throughout the course of development, we sought to provide a system that reduces the complexity of management without losing features and at the same time be even more entertaining for players.
Operators and customers are constantly evolving. However, EGT Digital continues to come to the fore, what’s the secret?
EGT has always been and will be close to the market and its clients, which allows our team to look ahead and successfully anticipate the upcoming challenges.
What are the main projects you will focus on next year?
Work with us never stops. We will continue expanding our online slot games portfolio, as well as developing functionalities in the X-Nave iGaming platform.
