Genuine Sports Group acquires Sportzcast
Genuine Sports will gain access to Sportzcast’s “Scorebot” system.
US.- Sports data and technology provider Genuine Sports Group has entered into an agreement to acquire Sportzcast, a US manufacturer of sports scoreboard data distribution systems.
Sportzcast is the company behind “Scorebot”, a system that links directly to existing event scoreboards, delivering real-time game data.
Scorebot has been installed in over 6,000 venues worldwide, across 194 scoreboard systems. Over 400 US colleges and universities also use Sportzcast’s services.
Genius Sports CEO and co-founder Mark Locke said: “Acquiring Sportzcast expands Genius’ official data offering and relevance in the US and worldwide, making us even more compelling to sports leagues and federation partners.

The sports betting industry in the US continues to grow as more states enter the market. In November, three states voted to legalise sports betting.
