Gamblit to bring PikPok’s zombie and racing games into casinos
Gamblit Gaming announced a partnership with game publisher PikPok to take two of its games into casinos in 2017.
US.- Gamblit Gaming, the California-based company closed a deal with New Zealand-based game publisher PikPok to take two of its games, the zombie runner Into the Dead and the futuristic racer Breakneck into casinos in 2017.
Gamblit is aware that casinos are full of the same old slot machines that don’t always appeal to young people. The company aims to change that by taking new kinds of skill-based games that will take casinos into the modern age. Gamblit Gaming specialises in real-money gambling and skill games in both mobile and land-based casinos.
PikPok’s Into the Dead has had more than 60 million downloads whilst Breakneck has had more than 5 million downloads. Those games will get “gamblified” into real-money gaming experiences to be launched in land-based casinos in 2017.
“It’s important because we get access to games that customers already know and love and then bring it into a new venue,” said Darion Lowenstein, chief marketing officer at Gamblit Gaming. “It brings a new revenue stream to an independent developer. Consumers get to play a title that they already know how to play. We see this as a way for casinos to capture a younger audience.”
“It’s an exciting new opportunity to us,” Wynands said. “It takes our portfolio into skill-based gaming and generates new revenue for us,” added Mario Wynands, managing director at PikPok. “To us, it’s like creating an arcade game experience.”
