Gamban warns users not to mistake it for Gambana Casino

The blocking software provider says people trying to avoid gambling could land on an online casino by mistake.

Gambling-blocking software provider Gamban has warned users not to confuse its service with Gambana, an online casino operated by JJam Holdings Ltd. The company raised concerns that the similarity between the two names could lead people seeking to avoid gambling platforms to access the casino by mistake.

Gamban stressed that it has no business relationship with Gambana and urged users to check website addresses carefully before accessing a service. It encouraged anyone who believes they may have visited Gambana thinking it was Gamban to contact its support team and to share their experiences.

Gamban blocks all online gambling content regardless of regulatory status, including social casinos, crypto gambling and NFT-based wagering across Windows, Mac, Android and iOS devices.

In May, the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) announced the purchase of 100 free Gamban licences for Michigan residents. More than 80 of the initial 100 licences were claimed in the first two weeks, the MGCB said.
