Galaxy Ent ready to develop the Japanese market

The casino company has reiterated its desire to operate a casino in the Japanese market.

Japan.- Jeremy Walker, vice president of marketing and international development at Galaxy Entertainment, has reiterated the company’s desire to advance into the Japanese market, which is set to debut in the upcoming years.

While the company is strengthening its efforts to launch a casino in Japan after the enforcement of the law to include integrated resorts in 2016, Galaxy Ent has already set up a Tokyo office in January 2015. Moreover, officials also visited all Japanese cities aiming to host an integrated resort.

Walker said that they’ve been meeting with officials from the Japanese government for a while, as well as prefectural and other local governments, businesses and community organizations in Japan. “We want to be in Japan first.”

He also added that they want to create something unique to Japan, not something similar to Macau or Las Vegas, and added that the company hopes to promote the very best, including food, beverage, culture and traditional Japanese-style hospitality.
