In dialogue with Focus Gaming News, the WorldMatch executive anticipates a new development and highlights the company’s participation in the next edition of ICE London.

Exclusive Interview.- Looking ahead to the next edition of ICE London, which will take place from April 12 to 14, Gabriele De Lorenzi, Director of WorldMatch, shared his expectations with Focus Gaming News. In addition, he reviewed the strengths of his proposals.

How are you preparing for ICE London?

We are preparing for ICE with the usual great enthusiasm, a lot of determination and organization. We are very satisfied to have once again carried out all the artistic and concept development in-house. ICE remains the most important event in the igaming market, despite the fact that there have been some important defections in the last period. Certainly the Covid and the current situation in Ukraine.

How did you feel when the exhibition had to suspend its February dates?

We knew that the Covid situation in the period preceding that date was starting to be very critical again in the UK. We were already prepared for this, especially with a view to safeguarding first of all the health of the participants in the event.

What are the main aspects you can highlight from these in-person events?

We are used to building relationships through social media. The pandemic has accelerated and increased this way of interacting, but effective communication still needs elements that go beyond words that only physical proximity can give. It is certainly a personal pleasure to meet again in person partners and competitors who have not seen each other for some time. All this certainly represents an added value that goes beyond the commercial aspect.

Can we expect from WorldMatch to introduce any new innovative content at the showcase?

At ICE we will present some new contents. Regards innovative contents, we are working on a game not yet seen in the gambling market, but the development and certification times do not allow us to present it to ICE. However, we will certainly have the opportunity to talk about it in the future. very soon.

“The quality of our games continues to grow from game to game.”

Gabriele De Lorenzi, Director at WorldMatch.

What was the operator’s feedback about your latest product releases such as Wicked Reels and Pussycats’ Valley?

We are receiving excellent feedback, also confirmed by the numbers that these two games are achieving. The quality of our games in terms of mathematics, graphics, audio and everything related to the gaming experience, continues to grow from game to game. The proof of this is the speed with which operators in the various markets activate all our games, despite the large amount of gaming products and providers in the global market.

How much did the iGaming industry evolve because of the pandemic?

The online sector certainly did not find itself unprepared for the closure of the various retail environments due to the pandemic. But some pre-pandemic choices such as the collaboration with the top providers in the terrestrial sector, have led to an evident competitive advantage and have also highlighted the importance of online terrestrial convergence and the movement of players towards online products.
