French regulator details technical requirements

France.- The new unified gaming regulator l’Autorité Nationale des Jeux (ANJ), has published its complete list of the technical commands and data obligations that licensed operators must fulfil.
The new document details requirements in each gaming vertical: sports betting, lottery, poker and horse betting.
It also details compliance protocols for dealing with players including identity checks and the monitoring of accounts and payment thresholds.

The ANJ’s data policy includes new requirements for data collection, monitoring, storage and security.
Operators must guarantee that the ANJ can be granted remote access to data across all verticals.
With sports betting, operators must periodically archive data on player bets including type, sport, event and outcome. Sportsbooks must maintain historic data on customers’ winning bets and bet cancellations.

The requirements have been submitted to the European Council for competitive approval.
