Foxwoods’ slot revenue stumbles in January
The Connecticut facility posted its lowest monthly slots revenue in 25 years in January.
US.- The Mashantucket Pequot-owned Foxwoods Resort Casino reported that it totalled US$31 million in slots revenue after paying out prizes, which is its lowest win since February 1994 when it registered US$29.2 million.
The facility’s slot revenue was down 8.5% over the US$33.9 million it registered in January 2018. With January 2019’s results in, the facility has now experienced seven straight months of year-over-year declines in slots revenue.
Foxwoods’ handle for January totalled US$378.8 million, or a 9.2% fall over the US$417.1 million wagered during the same month a year before.
The casino started operating slots in January 1993, and a year later posted its lowest one-month win when it totalled US$29.2 million after paying out prizes.
