Federal Government speeds casino plans
The Federal Government of Russia will be in charge of Primorye region to control casino development.
Russia.- The Primorye touristic region would be in charge of Federal Government soon, as legislators are drafting the new bill to switch the administrations. Local government currently controls the Russian area, but the federal administration decided to take over the office in order to speed up the casino plans.
The Russian Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East has began this week the legislative process, as reported by AGBrief. Federal authorities are interested in controlling the delays and deadlines to accelerate the process of casino constructions. Primorye was set as a gaming zone in the Russian Far East.
According to a Ministry’s spokesperson, Yuri Trutnev, the deputy prime minister and the plenipotentiary of the Russian president in the Far Eastern Federal District, commented that “the project is global, but its development is slow.” Trutnev was referring to the “ineffective work on the implementation of the gambling zone project.”
The Russian government would enhance the process and offer international operators better conditions for investments in order to attract further projects. Meanwhile, Melco, NagaCorp and Diamond Fortune Holdings Prim have already shown interest in developing the gaming zone. As only Tigre de Cristal has begun its operations, the Federal Government seeks to intervene in the regulating and licensing process to develop the city.
