Fat Tuesday’s Casino Royale licence revoked
Clark County has issued an emergency licence suspension for breach of Covid-19 policies.
US.- Clark County, Nevada, has suspended the licence of the Fat Tuesday drink stand at Las Vegas’s Casino Royale.
Fat Tuesday stands sell frozen alcoholic drinks. The county found the stand to be breaching Gov. Steve Sisolak’s July 10 emergency directive that closed bars in a bid to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
Since Fat Tuesday serves alcohol but not food, it should not have been opening following the order. The licence will be reinstated once bars are allowed to reopen.
A spokesperson for Clark County said in a statement: “The licensee was operating in violation of Emergency Directive 027 Section 5, by not having a restaurant-type setting to serve alcohol in conjunction with food.”
Casino Royale announced last month that it would lay off 98 employees due to “unexpected and unprecedented” circumstances of the pandemic.
