FanDuel to debut sportsbook in Mississippi
The company will debut its new sportsbook at IP Casino Resort in Biloxi today.
US.- FanDuel is set to enter the new legalised sports betting market in Mississippi this afternoon: the DFS giant will see IP Casino Resort in Biloxi’s sports betting space re-branded as FanDuel Sportsbook.
The state is the first one where the company is partnering with Boyd Gaming, IP’s parent company, to launch a sportsbook. The agreement establishes that they will connect across 10 states, after the completion of two pending acquisitions.
Matt King, CEO of FanDuel Group, said that the company will focus on giving customers the information they need in order to place intelligent bets, “creating an experience where casual and more sophisticated sports fans feel comfortable.”
The sportsbook will be operated by Boyd, which has more than 40 years of experience in Nevada, the biggest state when it comes to sports betting, mainly because it was the only one with access to full-scale operations before the US Supreme Court lifted the federal ban on the gambling modality.
