Fanduel cuts payroll in Florida

The Daily Fantasy Sports operator is laying off 55 employees, who were working at its Maitland office.

US.- The DFS operator issued a statement revealing it had to let go 55 employees, leaving a staff of around 20 people to continue its operations at the Maitland office located in Florida. According to Fanduel’s statement, the dismissed employees will receive two-month severance packages and the operator will help them to find new jobs.

The DFS sector has been under fire after Attorney Generals in several states deemed Daily Fantasy Sports illegal gambling. Operators have started a really expensive crusade with the help of lobbyists all over the country to revert these rulings.
