FanDuel appoints first president
FanDuel, the US division of Flutter Entertainment, has appointed its first president.
US.- FanDuel has hired Ticketmaster’s former chief operating officer Amy Howe to serve as its first president.
Howe will be responsible for commercial functions across the company’s products. She will report to FanDuel’s chief executive, Matt King.
King said in a statement: “I am delighted to welcome a leader of Amy’s extraordinary calibre to our executive team.”
“She has a proven track record of building highly successful digital and retail businesses and I’m excited to have her leading our commercial functions during a period of enormous growth for the company.”
FanDuel is owned by UK-based Flutter Entertainment, which increased its stake in the company to 95 per cent in December.
The company continues to expand in the US, recently launching its sportsbook into Virginia’s newly legalised market.
Howe said in a statement: “As the sports gaming industry continues to grow at a breakneck pace, I am excited to help fortify our leadership position and build new competitive advantages that will deliver sustained financial performance.”
