(Exclusive interview).- Focus Gaming News discusses SA Gaming’s recent operations with its team.
The team at SA Gaming discusses its 2020 performance with Focus Gaming News as it pushes for continued growth in Europe.
How has SA Gaming performed in 2020 as Covid-19 drove players to the online gaming and live casino segments?
SA Gaming has certainly achieved a lot during this year. As everyone now spends more time at home, a lot of people have turned to the online world to satisfy their entertainment needs. SA Gaming has made a number of major updates to cope with these opportunities, from launching a new lobby (SA Euro) to enhancing our mobile app (supporting Portrait Mode and in-app screen rotation on SA APP). The figures are very promising; we will continue to expand our influence in the sector.
‘Returning to normal life’ may mean an impact on business. How do you see the future in the new environment?
We all hope life can return to normal soon. As for the impact that you mention, we are not very worried about it because Covid-19 has permanently changed some of the people’s lifestyles. Some people who have never engaged in online gaming are now keen players. It is expected that they would stay even when Covid-19 is over as they have learnt a gaming style that they have never been before.
Why do you think SA Gaming deserved to win the Live Casino of the Year award at the Gaming Awards 2020?
First of all, allow us to thank the IGA jury again for their recognition of our products and facility. Their recognition is our key to winning this award. SA Gaming has got some of the best facilities in the industry. The facilities are operated by experienced studio managers and well-trained dealers. We have also been bringing innovation to our existing games. The award is the best reward to our hard work.
“SA Gaming has got some of the best facilities in the industry.”
The company has recently launched SA Euro with its own European studio. How has it performed so far?
SA Euro is a great success. We have experienced substantial growth in our business since the launch. In response to this, we are expanding the studio so we can add more tables to our new lobby. More phases of expansion will come. We are also developing new games to further enrich the choice of entertainment. Please expect more from SA Euro.
How important is it to have a mobile version? Do players tend to play more on desktop or other devices?
Mobile gaming is one of fastest growing markets in the world. There are now more people playing our games on mobile devices than on desktop computers. Mobile users are expecting more from mobile versions. They do not accept a mere duplicate of the desktop-based UI on their phones. That is why we have launched SA APP, which is re-engineered for smartphone-friendliness. Our app is one of the few gaming apps that support in-game screen rotation.
