Execs in Nevada got US$145.7 million in 2017
Top gaming firms executives in Nevada received payments for a combined US$145.7 million during the last year.
US.- Financial research group Equilar has reported that executives from the top gambling firms in the state of Nevada were paid over US$145.7 million during 2017. The report was revealed by The Associated Press and showed the multi-million payments businessmen from the industry received last year.
Steve Wynn, the former CEO at Wynn Resorts, led the chart with net payments worth over US$34,522,695 in cash and stock-based remuneration. Nonetheless, Wynn has liquidated his entire shareholding following allegations of sexual misconduct and parted ways with his former company.
Las Vegas Sands Corporation owner Sheldon Adelson came in second as he received over US$26 million in payments in 2017. Caesars Entertainment Corporation CEO Mark Frissora followed after receiving US$24 million in remuneration during 2017.
MGM Resorts International CEO, James Murren, was the last to achieve double-digit million dollar remuneration, after being paid over US$14.58 million last year.
The rest of the list includes IGT’s CEO Marco Sala (US$9.86 million Boyd Gaming CEO Keith Smith (US$8.59 million), Scientific Games CEO Kevin Sheehan (US$8.1 million), Penn National Gaming CEO Timothy Wilmott (US$7.18 million) and other smaller casino operators’ executives.
