US.- The gambling harm prevention consultancy, EPIC Risk Management has named Teresa Fiore as VP of partnerships as it expands in North America. Fiore has worked at PointsBet as a responsible gambling and corporate social responsibility manager and represented the Massachusetts Gaming Commission for five years as programme manager of research and responsible gaming.
CEO Paul Buck said: “This appointment is a key marker of the expansion that EPIC continues to make within the US. We’re delighted to bring Teresa’s extensive knowledge and vital experience into our organization and value the perspective that she can bring from both a regulatory and industry angle.”
Fiore commented: “I’m very excited to start as the VP of partnerships, overseeing the growth in the US market, which is obviously a huge opportunity for EPIC. I have known and think very highly of the EPIC team for a number of years and we’re very much aligned in our thinking and approach to safer gambling.”
Last month, EPIC announced the continuation of its gambling harm awareness programme for colleges at the prestigious University of Michigan. The firm has worked with the NCAA to visit around 75 college campuses per year and educate thousands of student-athletes on the risks that can stem from newly legalised sports wagering and other forms of gambling across the US.
