Encore Boston Harbor revenue grows 3 pct
in November, Encore Boston Harbor saw its revenue rise 3.27% from October as it reached US$47.3 million, a modest US$1.5 million increase.
US.- The brand new Encore Boston Harbor revealed its latest financial figures. The report assesses its performance for November and shows a slight improvement for its performance.
According to last month’s figures, the Encore Boston Harbor posted US$47.3 million revenue. The figure is a slight US$1.5 million better – or 3.27% – better than October’s. However, it was also the lowest number seen since it opened in June 2018.
Despite the venue’s success, the Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC) said the other two venues in the state underperformed.
Gaming changes
Encore Boston Harbor has recently changed its table game minimums: it dropped them from US$50 to US$15. The casino aims to be a hometown casino, not one that looks like a casino from Las Vegas.
Brian Gullbrants, Encore’s new president, told the Massachusetts Gaming Commission that the facility intends to roll out a tired card system to offer rewards, MassLive reported.
“The last thing we want to do is be a Vegas casino in Boston. We want to be a Boston casino in Boston,” Gullbrants said. “We want to be Greater Boston’s hometown casino. And we want everyone to come and feel welcome and like they can have a great time there, whether they are playing or not playing.”
