Eldorado Resorts set to lay off staff

Casino operator the latest to furlough workers after being forced to close its doors due to Covid-19.

US.- Eldorado Resorts is set to lay off workers after being forced to close its casinos across the country due to the Coronavirus crisis.

Eldorado published a memo to staff detailing plans to halt wages for employees at the company’s three casinos in Reno, Nevada.

It went on to say that health benefits would be paid through June 30.

The decision will be extended to the staff at all of Eldorado’s 23 casinos across eleven states.

Casinos in Nevada will keep their doors closed during April due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.

The order from Gov. Steve Sisolak has extended the closure of “nonessential businesses” through the end of April after the original directive was placed for 30 days on March 12.
