Konami Gaming’s vice president of igaming & international gaming operations spoke to Focus Gaming News ahead of G2E Las Vegas.
Exclusive interview.- Eduardo Aching, vice president of igaming & international gaming operations at Konami Gaming, spoke to Focus Gaming News ahead of G2E Las Vegas. He shared insights about what the company will showcase at the expo, how AI technology optimizes player tracking and responsible gaming, and future developments.
What is the company showcasing during G2E Las Vegas?
Considering the company’s overall long-term offering, Konami is emphasizing three essential areas to serve and supply the industry: casino systems, land-based games, and online slots. These business segments are the three pillars of Konami’s product development and investment; which we aim to bring to more players and properties globally. Some of our customers know we operate in all three spaces—casino systems, land-based games, and online slots—but many do not. At G2E 2025, we want to deepen operators’ interest and curiosity in how Konami drives long-term performance and results across all three business segments.
This is an especially big year at Konami for iGaming. Our iGaming team will be sharing product demonstrations at the heart of the company’s G2E 2025 exhibit, in our dedicated iGaming space. Konami’s iGaming library is now live in more global markets than ever and putting essential slot hits in the hands of today’s online players, for real-money and social enjoyment. This milestone year of expansion for Konami iGaming will be receiving special attention and celebration during G2E 2025.

What role does AI play in optimizing player tracking and responsible gaming in your systems?
Konami’s SYNKROS team has a history of working with AI technology, through products like SYNK Vision. SYNK Vision is a biometric player tracking solution that uses facial recognition to identify, protect, and reward all players, regardless of whether they are player loyalty members. For Konami and the customers we’ve spoken with, we see this as a significant positive resource to improve responsible gaming programs, as well as anti-money laundering protections.

Currently undergoing live trials in Asia, SYNK Vision is allowing casino operators to immediately take action on potential self-barred players, problem gambling, and/or money laundering activity, based on a guest’s unique facial characteristics. In doing so, it is actively serving to reduce the risks.
Looking ahead, what projects and developments can we expect to see from Konami?
Konami has an iconic licensed game theme that will be announced at G2E, for omni-channel availability. We’ll have several special activations at the show around the brand, that customers will want to experience first-hand. This game is aligned for initial launch locations before the end of the year, broadening to additional sites looking ahead to 2026.
