DraftKings to donate up to $350,000 to women’s organisations
DraftKings will donate the money to various organisations that assist female entrepreneurs and small businesses owned by women.
US.- Sports betting operator DraftKings has announced that it will donate up to $350,000 to women’s organisations across the US.
The donation forms part of its Women’s History Month Sports Popularity Pool, which works to promote the greatest athletes in women’s sports.
DraftKings is to make an initial donation of $150,000, then for every 25,000 entries into the pool, it will add $10,000. The maximum that could be accumulated is $350,000.
DraftKings co-founder, CEO and chairman Jason Robins said: “DraftKings is committed to empowering and advancing women at our company and in the communities where we live and work.
“We are intentional in our efforts to foster a culture of inclusion and belonging within DraftKings and focused on supporting women entrepreneurs and small business owners to help them launch, build and grow their own companies.”
This month, the company appointed Jennifer Aguiar as its new chief compliance officer, replacing Tim Dent.
