DraftKings introduces new changes
The DFS operator introduced a new chief legal officer in a move to support the ongoing expansion.
US.- DraftKings, the daily fantasy sports (DFS) giant, has announced that it appointed R. Stanton Dodge as its new chief legal officer. After the failed merger with rival company FanDuel, the operator is seeking new ways to support the expansion into new markets.
Dodge will be in charge of overseeing the company’s legal and government affairs teams in the Boston headquarters in Massachusetts. The new chief legal officer has experience in the area as he served as vice-president, general counsel and secretary of DISH Network for more than 20 years.
Jason Robins, chief executive and co-founder of DraftKings, said: “Stanton brings to DraftKings a wealth of experience and expertise in legal and government affairs. During his nearly two decades at DISH, he helped the company grow from a startup in a fledgling industry into a telecommunications giant. Stanton will be a major driver and enabler of DraftKings’ future growth as we continue to evolve and expand into new lines of business around the world, and we are very excited to have him join the talented group of women and men who work at DraftKings.”
