DraftKings expands to the West Coast

The DFS company has opened a new office in San Francisco, with plans to expand to Las Vegas as well.

US.- DraftKings has revealed that the company opened a new office in San Francisco and it plans to open another one in Las Vegas. The Boston-based DFS giant is enjoying the benefits of the opening of the sports betting industry in the United States, which has been recently legalised by the US Supreme Court.

A DraftKings spokesperson said that the office is set to have approximately 10 employees and will mainly focus on growth marketing. Despite showing interest in a new location in Las Vegas, the company did not share a timeline for the opening of a new office.

DraftKings’ co-founder and chief revenue officer Matt Kalish said: “Presence in these international hubs of technology and gaming, respectively, allows us access to a tremendous talent pool and strengthens our position as leaders in this dynamic industry.”

The company currently employs more than 500 people in its Boston office and said that it is planning to increase that number by 75 per cent over the next year and a half. Moreover, the headquarters’ space will double when the company moves to the Back Bay in early 2019.
