DraftKings appoints Stephanie Sherman as CMO

Stephanie Sherman has been promoted to lead all marketing functions at DraftKings.

US.- DraftKings has named its senior vice president of marketing Stephanie Sherman as chief marketing officer. All marketing functions in the business will be consolidated under her leadership. Sherman is one of the longest-serving employees of the Boston-based operator, having joined in 2013.

Sherman is described as “an instrumental team member”, Sherman received Adweek’s recognition as one of the “Most Powerful Women in Sports” for two years in a row. She will continue to drive and scale future marketing, oversee brand and agency campaigns, media buying, and influencer strategy, among other functions. 

Prior to joining the company, she worked in the marketing department for VistaPrint, where DraftKings CEO Jason Robins also used to work.

Sherman said: “When I started at DraftKings nine years ago, there was a genuine and collective sense that we were building something special, and zooming out to today, that has been validated more than I could have ever imagined.

“For all the accomplishments we’ve celebrated and adversity we’ve overcome, I take on this new position knowing there is still so much opportunity ahead along with brilliant people ready to deliver.”
