Delaware posts sports betting revenue decrease
The financial report from May operations indicates that sports betting revenue fell 34% in Delaware.
US.- Sports betting operations suffered a setback in May, as revenue decreased 34% month-on-month and totalled US$406k. The overall handle also posted a fall, though the numbers weren’t that different from those registered in April.
May’s handle stands at US$5.9 million, and this is the last month in 2019 in which there aren’t year-on-year comparisons, as the segment was legalised in June 2018. The total number of bets fell 13% from April to 133,607. Delaware Park was once again the facility that registered the majority of those bets (84,982).
Delaware Park totalled US$252k in revenue from handle of US$3.6 million. On the other hand, Dover Downs generated US$101k from 32,465 wagers and handle of US$2.5 million. Harrington Raceway generated US$52k from handle of US$768k.
