DC sports betting revenue up 284.8% in July
Sports betting was launched in Washington DC in May, and had a slow start due to the pandemic.
US.- Sports betting in Washington DC generated $142,279 in revenue for the month of July, according to a report from the DC Lottery.
The figure respresents a rise of 284.5 per cent from $36,985 in June.
Sports betting was launched in DC in May. In June, with many sporting events still cancelled, players wagered $223,730 in total. In July, that grew to $741,499.
Intralot is the main provider for mobile sports betting in the district. At present there is just one retain sportsbook in the city, which currently has restrictions in place due to the pandemic.
Intralot launched its digital sports betting platform at the beginning of June.
