Danville Casino hoping for approval soon
It’s been almost two years since the Danville Casino application was submitted.
US.- In October, it will be two years since the Danville Casino application was submitted to the Illinois Gaming Board (IGB). Approval is still pending, but it could be coming soon.
The project is expected to generate revenue of $5-6m a year for the city, a boost of 10 per cent. Danville mayor Rickey Williams Jr. said the Covid-19 pandemic had slowed down the approval process.
He said: “For Danville, hopefully, our application will be reviewed more quickly and have an opportunity for our casino to be built faster.
According to Fox Illinois, the mayor said that once the project is approved, it could take between nine months and a year for the casino to open to visitors.
