Danang casino attracts more Chinese VIP
A US$ 600 million redevelopment is planned to expand the installations
Vietnam.-The Crown International Games Club, the casino located on Danang’s beach in Vietnam, is gaining more Chinese VIP attendees and according to some analysts the VIP turnover has reached US$ 3 billion a month, a number that doubles the amount registered at other venues in the area, such as Solaire in the Philippines, NagaCorp in Cambodia and Genting Highlands in Malaysia.
“This is a test case of a casino going under the radar that is doing extremely well. There is no other destination I know where the junket and casino organize 25 charter flights a week from China,” explained Ben Lee, Managing Partner at Asian gaming consultancy IGamiX.
Owned by Chinese businessman Hui Kong, The Crown International Games Club is planning a US$ 600 million redevelopment to expand the casino installations. The project will double its quota of hotel rooms, plus add a JW Marriott-branded hotel and a duty free shopping mall.
