Czech Republic grants gaming licence

The local regulator has approved an online poker licence for partypoker in partnership with King’s Resort.

Czech Republic.- Online poker operator partypoker has received the approval for a licence to operate in the Czech Republic. The company will operate in the territory with a partnership with King’s Resort.

Initially available on desktop platforms, partypoker becomes the second international operator to obtain a licence in the country and also the second operator to be able to operate a licenced online poker room.

Tom Waters, managing director of partypoker, explained that they are currently in the final stages of completing the technical set up and that they look forward to announcing more launch promotions and events, as well as full details of the product offering in the next few weeks. “We are delighted to be working with King’s Resort to offer online poker in the Czech Republic,” he added.

Leon Tsoukernik, owner of King’s Resort, added: “King’s Resort is already a major player in the poker world, hosting Europe’s largest live poker room, and this is a further big step forward in our commitment to players.”
