Cyprus Casinos opens third satellite casino
C2 Ayia Napa from Cyprus Casinos is the third licensed satellite casino in the territory.
Cyprus.- Cyprus Casinos (C2) announced on Monday the opening of its third licensed satellite casino. C2 Ayia Napa joins the C2 Nicosia and C2 Larnaca satellite casinos, both opened in December 2018.
The third satellite casino to open in Cyprus is located in Asia Napa’s tourist area. The gambling facility sits on a 13k m2 plot, and the gaming area, featured on 367 m2, offers 50 slot machines that are under regulation of Cypriot authorities.
Craig Ballantyne, Property President of City of Dreams Mediterranean and Cyprus Casinos ‘C2’ said that this specific location was ideal for a satellite casino because it is located in the city’s tourist area.
“We are delighted to be launching our third satellite casino, further expanding our C2 portfolio. We are confident that C2 Ayia Napa will help to enhance the city’s tourist product and significantly contribute to the sustainable growth of the local and island’s economy. At the same time, the casino will offer an exceptional entertainment experience for both local and foreign guests,” he said.
The C2 Ayia Napa is open every day from 3pm until 6am and exclusive to people over 21. An entrance fee or membership is not necessary to access the facility and engage with gambling options.
Nearly 900k visit Melco Cyprus casinos in a year
Cyprus casinos received nearly a million guests in a year. After its monopoly operation recently launched, the company revealed its first annual report.
According to Melco International executive Craig Ballantyne, visitors arrived from various countries. He also detailed the C2 Limassol casino received 710k visits, the C2 Nicosia casino about 130k and the C2 Larnaca casino about 40k. Furthermore, Ballantyne forecasted a million visitors by August.
