Covers Media lands in Indiana

The Indiana Gaming Commission has granted approval to sports content publisher Covers Media Group.

US.- The Indiana Gaming Commission has granted Covers Media Group the licence approval to expand its sports betting business in the state. The licence allows the company to expand both land-based and online operations.

Covers Media said that the Indiana licence is the first step to activate innovative affiliate relationships involving revenue share and fees for referred customers to those partnered operators.

“This is in line with our commitment to continue to work with our sportsbook operator partners in those legislated US States”, says Mark Harper, General Manager of Covers Media Group and Nova Scotia Sports Media Pros.

“On the back of the news that we are approved to operate the Covers sports betting products in Indiana, we are set to complete several partnerships with in-State operators.”

Indiana increased sports betting revenue in October

The launch of online sports betting and increased visitation from Chicago bettors have helped Indiana achieve impressive results in October.

The retail and online sportsbooks in Indiana posted a combined US$91.7 million in revenue in October. This figure represents a 161% increase from the US$35.2 million generated in September.

Adjusted gross revenue for sportsbooks in the state totalled US$11.5 million, which is a 34% increase from US$8.6 million the previous month. Approximately 45% of that number comes from betting on the NFL, the local commission said.
