Consumers shun casinos due to Covid-19, survey finds
According to research from Omnico Group, 77 per cent of people are reluctant to visit casinos in the US and UK in 2021.
UK.- A new survey has found that one in four people in the US and UK do not plan to visit a casino in 2021 due to concerns over the Covid-19 pandemic.
The research involved 4,000 consumers, although fewer than 900 defined themselves as casino-goers.
The research suggests that opinions changed depending on the scenario.
Casino visitors were far keener to return if the right technology and safety measures were in place: 54 per cent of players said the right health and safety technology would encourage them to visit.
Moreover, 86 per cent said they would check a casino’s Covid-19 safety measures before going, and 61 per cent saying they would go elsewhere if standards did not meet their expectations.
More than a quarter of people (28 per cent) said they would only visit casinos that offered a contactless customer experience.
