After a seven-day soft launch, the Connecticut Lottery Corporation, the Mohegan Tribe and the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe are now allowed to fully operate in the state.
US.- Connecticut‘s Department of Consumer Protection has announced the start of online sports wagering and online casino gaming today (October 19) after a seven-day soft launch. The Mohegan tribe has partnered with FanDuel, the Mashantucket Pequot with DraftKings and the Connecticut Lottery Corporation with Rush Street Interactive.
The companies are allowed to begin offering online sports betting to over 21s from 6am local time.
Governor Ned Lamont said: “This is an exciting moment for our state and our tribal partners. Connecticut has proven to be a leader when it comes to the gaming economy going back decades, and that legacy will continue with the launch of these new online options for all eligible residents.
“One of the fastest state implementations of online gaming and sports wagering of any state in the nation.”
Sports betting was due to launch in Connecticut on October 7 but was put back due to a delay in publishing memorandums of understanding on the federal register.
