Connecticut Governor weighs in on sports betting
Governor Lamont prefers Bill that would allow the tribes and other gambling operators to offer sports betting.
US.- Connecticut Governor, Ned Lamont, has weighed in on the sports betting debate taking place in the state, sharing his thoughts on his preferred Bill.
Lamont’s preferred Bill would allow the state’s tribes, lottery locations and off-track betting locations to offer sports betting to players. Other bills in play would only allow the tribes to run sports books.
“It also builds upon the state’s existing partnership with the tribes. It is more likely to withstand legal challenges from third party competitors, and promotes a fair and competitive sports betting market outside the tribes’ reservations,” spokesman Max Reiss said.
The casino industry

FoxWhile both properties reported good performances in October and November, this came after 15 months of straight losses.
Foxwoods registered US$33.6 million in slots revenue in December, a 10.1% decline over the US$37 million from December 2018. Mohegan Sun’s generated US$43.9 million, an 11.8% decline over the US$49.8 million from 2018.
