City of Dreams Manila considers expansion
A top-ranking official revealed that the company is considering a second location of the integrated resort.
Philippines.- Premium Leisure Corp (PLC) chairman Willy Ocier has confirmed that City of Dreams (CoD) Manila could receive a significant expansion. The top-ranking official said that the opening of a second location of CoD is being studied.
“The expansion of City of Dreams is being studied by our partners as well as ourselves,” PLC chairman Willy Ocier said at the company’s annual stockholders’ meeting on Monday, PhilStar revealed. PLC currently has a share in casino gaming revenues of CoD through its 100% owned subsidiary Premium Leisure and Amusement Inc. (PLAI).
Ocier revealed that the PAGCOR licence to operate the casino only applies for the current site in the Entertainment City of Parañaque City. “If we want to apply, we will have to apply with PAGCOR once we secure another site,” Ocier said. “We are doing all of these expansions, but we have not identified any location yet,” he said.
Furthermore, Ocier said that expansion initiatives in the current CoD site are currently underway, specifically the change of non-gaming areas to more productive gaming areas.
