A casino investor had said that there was a possibility to expand the casino venture, but officials denied any relation with the claims.

Philippines.- Monday saw a couple or rumors emerge after Belle Corporation, a Philippines casino investor, said that it was seeking a second site in order to expand the casino venture. Nevertheless, Melco Crown said that they didn’t have prior knowledge of the statements.

The operator of City of Dreams Manila said during to the Philippine Stock Exchange on Tuesday: “Mr Ocier is not an authorised spokesperson for Melco Crown Philippines. The company’s operations are carried out by its own management team and Belle is not involved in the day to day management of Melco Crown Philippines and not authorised to speak on behalf of Melco Crown Philippines.” Willy Ocier is the vice president of Belle Corp, the investor that claimed that they were considering an expansion along with Melco.

“Aside from previous disclosures by the company to the exchange, there is no additional information to be reported by Melco Crown Philippines at this time. Melco Crown Philippines will comply with its disclosure obligations if material changes are to occur,” added the company after net income information was released to the local stock exchange.
