Churchill Downs partners with Full House

The partnership between Churchill Downs and Full House will allow the former to enter Indiana and Colorado’s sports betting market.

US.- Churchill Downs announced this week that it signed a definitive agreement with Full House Resorts to operate retail sportsbooks in Indiana and Colorado. The deal also includes online sports betting in Indiana, subject to gaming licence approvals.

The company will operate a retail BetAmerica Sportsbook at the Rising Star Casino Resort in Indiana and the BetAmerica online sports betting platform as well. It will also allow Churchill Downs to offer retail and online sports betting in Colorado utilising Full House’s operating licence for Bronco Billy’s Casino and Hotel in Cripple Creek, Colorado.

Current regulations allow customers to bet on major professional sports including the NFL, which kicked last this week, as well as the NHL, MLB and collegiate sports.

“We believe our innovative, state-of-the-art products and deep experience as the leader in online horseracing wagering enable us to introduce a premier sports betting platform in Indiana,” said Bill Carstanjen, CEO of CDI. “We look forward to the opportunity to provide our BetAmerica Sportsbook to the residents of Colorado in the future as well.”

Churchill Downs proposes new racetrack in Kentucky

The company proposed a US$200 million New Latonia Racing & Gaming facility to host Thoroughbred racing in future years.

The application requests that NKYRG, a wholly-owned subsidiary of CDI, receives a racing license to conduct live Thoroughbred racing in January through March and in December 2020, pursuant to a lease agreement between NKYRG and Churchill Downs Racetrack, the company explained.
