Churchill Downs’ Casino Salem to become Rockingham Grand Casino
The redevelopment in New Hampshire is expected to open in mid-2027.
US.- Churchill Downs Incorporated (CDI) has announced that its charitable gaming facility in Salem, New Hampshire, will be renamed from Casino Salem to Rockingham Grand Casino as part of its redevelopment. The initial phase of the casino opened on July 9, with approximately 100 HRMs and 13 live table games.
The 19,000 square-feet venue at The Mall at Rockingham Park will be redeveloped for mid-2027, with an expected capital investment of $180 to $200m. The plans received approval from the Salem Planning Board in December.
The Mall at Rockingham Park is the largest shopping mall in New Hampshire. The casino will occupy 160,000 square feet over three floors. It will have 825 historical racing machines (HRMs), 32 table games, 12 electronic table game seats and a 900-seat live entertainment venue. It will also offer several food and beverage options.
