Retail sports betting in Kentucky will kick off on September 7.

US.- Churchill Downs (CDI) has announced details for its six venues that received temporary sports betting licences from the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission. They will incorporate sports betting kiosks among existing bar and simulcast areas. Most will offer large-format video screens or various televisions. A “Bet & Jet” scheme will allocate parking spaces for 15 minutes for quick placement of in-person bets.

The venues are:

  • Churchill Downs Racetrack: 15 sports betting kiosks, 168 sq. ft. video screen, 20 large format televisions.
  • Derby City Gaming: 15 sports betting kiosks, 300 sq. ft. video screen, 12 large format televisions.
  • Ellis Park Racing & Gaming: 5 sports betting kiosks.
  • Newport Racing & Gaming: 10 sports betting kiosks, 20 large format televisions.
  • Oak Grove Racing, Gaming and Hotel: 20 sports betting kiosks, 300 sq. ft. video screen, 8 large format televisions.
  • Turfway Park Racing and Gaming: 15 sports betting kiosks, 300 sq. ft. video screen, 16 large format televisions.
