Chinese investors aim for Russia
Chinese operators are interested in developing casino industry in Primorye.
Russia.- This week, several Chinese entrepreneurs arrived to Russia to visit the new gaming zone Primorye, where the casino industry has the green light to entertain the tourism and regional population. Guo Wei, a joint venture between major Chinese companies, got in touch with Russian authorities to present their projects for the casino city.
“We are considering the Primorye gambling resort to be a promising tourism-oriented investment project. For Chinese tourists this place will be especially interesting due to its good transport accessibility and availability of gambling. We plan to build a casino and a thousand-room hotel, as well as create a recreational park area and a yacht club on the bay. We are pleased that there is an opportunity to carry out construction works all year round, so we are primed for early results,” revealed the leader of Gou Wei, Mr Shi.
The Chinese group of companies visited Vladivostok, the administrative city of the Russian province, where the most successful casino of the country, Tigre de Cristal, is located. The Primorye Territory Development Corporation commented to the press that Gou Wei has introduced a potential project which will be discussed during the following weeks.
“Potential investor must take part in the auction for the right to lease the land and then defend their design project of future facilities before the working group of the resort. After concluding the investment agreement the Corporation undertakes a commitment to create the entire necessary engineering and transport infrastructure,” said Andrey Folomeev, general director at Primorye Territory Development Corporation.
