Century Casinos to establish at the Hilton Warsaw
Polish government has authorised Casinos Poland Limited to relocate a downton venue to the Hilton Warsaw Hotel and Convention Centre.
Poland.- Casinos Poland Limited has been authorised by the Polish government to reposition one of its downton Warsaw casinos to the Hilton Warsaw Hotel and Convention Centre. Century Casinos Incorporated, which holds a 66 p ercent stake in the company, announced the relocation from a 3,000 square feet space to the 17,000 square feet new site at the hotel.
The Colorado Springs-based company revealed that the new space was that once occupied by the Olympic Casino Sunrise, operated by the Olympic Entertainment Group. The casino will offer around 70 slots and 24 gaming tables by June, in order to begin operations, the company announced.
Erwin Haitzmann and Peter Hoetzinger, Co-CEOs for Century Casinos Incorporated released a statement in which they celebrated the move: “We are excited about this new location and believe it has the potential to contribute significantly to Casinos Poland Limited’s successful performance.” They explained that the new location is already “well established” and added that the company will refurbish the site before starting to operate.
The site at the Hilton was opened after the Olympic Entertainment Group was denied a license extension for the Olympic Casino Sunrise. After that, it filed for bankruptcy after recording an operating loss of US$9.2 million in nine months.
