Century Casinos announces sports betting partnership with BetMGM in Missouri

Century Casino Cape Girardeau has entered into a long-term agreement with the online operator.

US.- Century Casinos has announced that its subsidiary, Century Casino Cape Girardeau, has entered into a long-term agreement with BetMGM to bring the operator’s sports betting platform to the Missouri market.

BetMGM will operate an online and mobile sports betting application under Century’s licence. The company said the deal includes a percentage of net gaming revenue payable to Century, with a guaranteed minimum, as well as retail sportsbook options to be exercised at Century’s discretion. Regulatory approval is pending.

The Missouri Gaming Commission began accepting applications for sports betting licences on May 15. The commission will issue up to 19 licences for retail sportsbooks and up to 14 for online platforms.

Applications for the two untethered online sports betting licences available must be submitted by July 15. Applications for retail and mobile licences must be submitted by September 12. These must be partnerships with one of the state’s six professional sports franchises or 13 land-based casinos. Regulated sports betting is expected to launch on December 1.

The Cape Girardeau property has over 41,000 square feet of casino gaming with more than 800 slots, 19 live tables and table games, a poker room, dining options, a hotel and entertainment.
